EV charger installation

EV Charger Installation

Charge your electric vehicle at home or at your business. We install Level 2 chargers from Tesla, ChargePoint, Grizzl-E, and all major brands.

  • Tesla Wall Connector installation
  • ChargePoint, Grizzl-E, and universal J1772
  • 40A and 60A circuit installation
  • Panel upgrade if needed for capacity
  • Outdoor weatherproof installations
  • Multi-unit and commercial charging

A Level 2 EV charger adds 30-50 km of range per hour — a full charge overnight. Most chargers require a dedicated 40A or 50A circuit on a 240V breaker. We assess your panel capacity, install the appropriate wire gauge (typically 6 AWG copper for 50A), and mount the charger in your garage or outdoor parking spot. If your panel doesn't have capacity, we can upgrade it or install a sub-panel. All installations include ESA notification.

Pool & Spa Wiring

Pool and spa electrical must meet strict safety codes due to the water proximity. We wire pool pumps, heaters, hot tubs, and underwater lighting to code.

  • Pool pump and filter motor wiring
  • Hot tub and spa 240V hookups
  • Underwater LED lighting
  • Pool heater electrical connections
  • GFCI protection (code required)
  • Equipotential bonding grid

Pool electrical is one of the most heavily regulated areas of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. All pool equipment must be on GFCI-protected circuits, and an equipotential bonding grid must connect all metal components within 1.5 metres of the pool. We install proper disconnects within sight of the equipment, run appropriately rated underground cable, and ensure all bonding is complete. Hot tub hookups typically require a dedicated 40A or 50A, 240V GFCI-protected circuit.

Generator Installation

Never lose power again. We install whole-home standby generators and transfer switches that automatically restore power during outages.

  • Automatic standby generator installation
  • Manual and automatic transfer switches
  • Natural gas and propane connections
  • Load management systems
  • Portable generator hookup (inlet box)
  • Maintenance and service plans

A whole-home standby generator automatically detects a power outage, starts within 10 seconds, and powers your entire home until utility power returns. We install generators from Generac, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton with automatic transfer switches that safely disconnect from the grid before energizing your home. For budget-friendly backup, we also install manual transfer switches with generator inlet boxes for portable generators.

Smart Home Automation

Control your lighting, climate, and security from your phone or voice. We install smart switches, automated lighting, and whole-home automation wiring.

  • Smart dimmer and switch installation
  • Whole-home WiFi-controlled lighting
  • Voice control (Alexa, Google, Siri)
  • Automated lighting scenes and schedules
  • Smart thermostat wiring
  • Motorized shade and blind wiring

Smart home technology starts with proper electrical infrastructure. Many smart switches require a neutral wire that older homes may lack — we add neutral wires where needed. We install Lutron Caseta, Leviton Decora Smart, and other professional-grade smart switches that are reliable and responsive. For whole-home automation, we can pre-wire with Cat6 for control panels and centralized smart home hubs.

Energy Audit & Rebates

Cut your electricity bills with an energy audit and LED upgrades. We help you access government and utility rebates for qualifying improvements.

  • Comprehensive energy usage assessment
  • LED lighting upgrade with rebate paperwork
  • Occupancy and daylight sensor installation
  • Programmable thermostat upgrades
  • SaveOnEnergy rebate applications
  • Before-and-after energy comparison

Ontario's SaveOnEnergy program and federal Greener Homes grants offer significant rebates for energy-efficient upgrades. A typical home LED conversion saves $200-$400 annually on electricity. We conduct a thorough assessment of your current lighting, heating controls, and electrical efficiency, then recommend upgrades with the best return on investment. We handle all rebate paperwork so you get your money back faster.

Whole-Home Surge Protection

Protect your electronics, appliances, and HVAC equipment from damaging power surges with a panel-mounted whole-home surge protector.

  • Panel-mounted Type 2 surge protector
  • Protection for all circuits simultaneously
  • LED indicator for protection status
  • Rated for 50,000+ amp surge capacity
  • Protects against lightning and grid surges
  • Paired with point-of-use protection

Power surges from lightning, utility switching, and even appliances cycling on and off damage sensitive electronics over time. A whole-home surge protector installs directly at your electrical panel and clamps voltage spikes before they reach your devices. We install units rated for 50,000+ amps with indicator lights so you know protection is active. For maximum protection, we recommend pairing with point-of-use surge strips for computers and home theatres.

Battery Storage (Tesla Powerwall)

Store energy for backup power or off-peak savings with home battery systems like the Tesla Powerwall. We are certified installers.

  • Tesla Powerwall installation
  • Backup gateway and transfer switch
  • Solar integration compatible
  • Time-of-use rate optimization
  • Multiple battery configurations
  • Monitoring app setup

The Tesla Powerwall stores 13.5 kWh of energy — enough to power essential circuits for 12-24 hours during an outage. It can also save money by charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak rates. We install the Powerwall with its Backup Gateway, which acts as a transfer switch to isolate your home from the grid during outages. For solar homes, the Powerwall stores excess solar production for evening use.

Solar-Ready Wiring

Prepare your home for future solar panel installation with proper conduit runs, panel space, and electrical infrastructure.

  • Conduit run from roof to panel
  • Dedicated breaker space reserved
  • Rapid shutdown compliant wiring
  • Inverter mounting location prep
  • Panel upgrade if needed
  • Net metering ready

Installing solar-ready wiring during a renovation or new build saves thousands compared to retrofitting later. We run conduit from your roof area to the electrical panel, reserve breaker space for the solar interconnection, and ensure your panel can handle the additional generation capacity. When you're ready to go solar, the installer simply pulls wire through the existing conduit — no cutting into walls or ceilings needed.

Home Theatre Wiring

Create the ultimate entertainment experience with proper home theatre wiring. In-wall speakers, HDMI runs, projector power, and dedicated circuits.

  • In-wall speaker wire (14/2 and 12/2)
  • HDMI and fiber optic cable runs
  • Projector ceiling outlet and mount power
  • Dedicated 20A media circuit
  • Subwoofer and surround sound wiring
  • Acoustic panel power for motorized screens

A properly wired home theatre eliminates visible cables and delivers the best audio and video quality. We run speaker wire through walls to each surround location (5.1, 7.1, or Dolby Atmos configurations), install HDMI or fiber optic cables for 4K/8K video, and provide a dedicated circuit to prevent interference from other loads. For projector setups, we install a ceiling outlet with a switched circuit.

Intercom & Video Doorbell Systems

See and speak with visitors from anywhere. We install Ring, Nest, and wired intercom systems with proper power supply and low-voltage wiring.

  • Ring and Nest doorbell installation
  • Wired intercom systems (multi-room)
  • Doorbell transformer upgrade (16V/24V)
  • Low-voltage wiring for video systems
  • Gate and access control integration
  • Indoor monitor station installation

Video doorbells like Ring and Nest require a doorbell transformer providing 16-24V AC. Many older homes have underpowered 10V transformers that cause connectivity issues. We replace the transformer, run proper low-voltage wiring, and ensure a strong WiFi connection at the door location. For larger homes, we install wired intercom systems with indoor stations in multiple rooms and gate/access control integration.
