Create the ultimate entertainment experience with proper home theatre wiring. In-wall speakers, HDMI runs, projector power, and dedicated circuits.

A properly wired home theatre eliminates visible cables and delivers the best audio and video quality. We run speaker wire through walls to each surround location (5.1, 7.1, or Dolby Atmos configurations), install HDMI or fiber optic cables for 4K/8K video, and provide a dedicated circuit to prevent interference from other loads. For projector setups, we install a ceiling outlet with a switched circuit.
Pre-wiring a dedicated theatre or media room — 5.1 or 7.1 speaker runs, HDMI/fiber to the projector, a dedicated 20A circuit, and screen power — typically runs $1,500–$3,500 in the GTA. Doing it during a basement finish is far cheaper than retrofitting finished ceilings.
AV receivers and amplifiers draw serious power, and sharing a circuit with other loads causes hum, brownouts during loud scenes, and nuisance trips. A dedicated 20A circuit isolates the system electrically — it's the single biggest wiring upgrade for audio quality.
For runs over 7–8 metres, fiber-optic HDMI is the reliable choice for 4K/8K signals — copper HDMI gets flaky at length. We install in-wall rated cable with a conduit path so the cable can be upgraded when standards change, which they always do.
