A Level 2 EV charger adds 30-50 km of range per hour — a full charge overnight. Most chargers require a dedicated 40A or 50A circuit on a 240V breaker. We assess your panel capacity, install the appropriate wire gauge (typically 6 AWG copper for 50A), and mount the charger in your garage or outdoor parking spot. If your panel doesn't have capacity, we can upgrade it or install a sub-panel. All installations include ESA notification.

How much does it cost to install an EV charger at home?
A straightforward Level 2 installation in the GTA — panel nearby, capacity available — runs $800–$1,500 for labour, materials, and the ESA permit. Longer wire runs or finished walls push it to $1,500–$3,500, and the charger itself adds $500–$1,200. Most homeowners land between $1,500 and $3,000 all-in.
Can my 100 amp panel handle an EV charger?
Sometimes. A 48A charger uses a big share of a 100A service, so it depends on your other loads — we run a load calculation to check. If capacity is tight, a load-management device often avoids a panel upgrade; otherwise we upgrade to 200A ($3,200–$4,500) at the same time.
How fast does a Level 2 charger charge compared to a regular outlet?
A Level 2 charger (240V, 40–48A) adds roughly 40–70 km of range per hour — a full charge overnight. A standard 120V outlet adds only 6–8 km per hour. For anyone driving daily, Level 2 is the practical choice, and overnight ultra-low electricity rates make it cheap to run.
