Ceiling fans must be mounted to a fan-rated box that can support the weight and vibration. A standard light fixture box is NOT safe for a ceiling fan. We install proper fan-rated pancake or brace boxes in the ceiling, run 14/3 wire for independent fan and light control, and ensure everything is balanced. We can also install fans with smart controls for app or voice operation.

How much does ceiling fan installation cost?
Replacing an existing fixture with a ceiling fan runs $150–$300. If we need to install a fan-rated box, new switch wiring, or a fan where no fixture exists, expect $300–$600. Fans on high or vaulted ceilings may add to the labour.
Can I install a ceiling fan where a light fixture is now?
Usually yes, but the existing electrical box must be replaced with a fan-rated box — standard light boxes can't handle the weight and vibration. We install a proper brace box and can run 14/3 wire so the fan and light work from separate switches.
Do ceiling fans actually lower energy bills?
Yes. In summer a fan lets you raise the AC setpoint 2–3°C with the same comfort, and in winter reversing the blades pushes warm air down. Typical savings are 5–15% on cooling costs for rooms used regularly.
