Fire Alarm Systems

The Ontario Building Code requires fire alarm systems in most commercial buildings based on occupancy type, building size, and occupant load. If you're changing a space's use — say retail to restaurant — the requirement can change too. We assess your occupancy and quote a compliant system.

The Ontario Fire Code requires annual testing of the complete system by qualified technicians, plus monthly checks of select devices. We provide the annual test, tag the system, and supply the documentation fire inspectors and insurers ask for.

A conventional system tells you a zone is in alarm; an addressable system identifies the exact device. Addressable costs more upfront but cuts troubleshooting time dramatically and scales better in larger buildings. For small spaces, conventional is usually the cost-effective choice.
