About office buildoutData & Low-Voltage Cabling
Structured cabling is the backbone of your business network. We install Cat6/Cat6a cabling, server room infrastructure, and low-voltage systems.
Scope of work
- Cat6 and Cat6a structured cabling
- Server room and MDF/IDF buildout
- Cable tray and J-hook pathways
- Patch panel and rack installation
- Fiber optic termination
- Testing and certification
A well-designed structured cabling system supports your business for 15-20 years. We install to TIA-568 standards using Cat6a for future 10-Gigabit capability. Every cable run is tested and certified with a Fluke tester, and results are documented. We also build out server rooms with proper power (dedicated circuits, UPS compatibility), cooling considerations, and cable management.
Data & Low-Voltage Cabling FAQs
Should I install Cat6 or Cat6a cabling?
Cat6 handles 10 Gigabit up to 55 metres and is fine for most small offices. Cat6a carries 10 Gigabit the full 100 metres and supports high-power PoE devices like WiFi 6E/7 access points and cameras — the safer 15-to-20-year choice for new buildouts. We quote both so you can compare.
How much does network cabling cost per drop?
In the GTA, a certified Cat6 drop typically costs $150–$250 including cable, jack, patch panel termination, and Fluke test certification; Cat6a runs slightly more. Pricing drops with volume — a 50-drop office is meaningfully cheaper per drop than a 5-drop one.
Do you certify and document the cabling?
Yes. Every run is tested with a Fluke certifier against TIA-568 standards, and you receive the test reports plus labelled patch panels and jacks. Certification matters for warranty claims and makes future IT troubleshooting dramatically faster.
